We zijn zonet op de hoogte gebracht door onze hostingprovider dat er vannacht noodonderhoud dient uitgevoerd worden aan het netwerk van de datacenters in Gravelines en Roubaix. De uitvoering van het onderhoud zal ongeveer 8 minuten onbeschikbaarheid veroorzaken van de Odoo omgevingen.

We have just been informed by our hosting provider that emergency maintenance will have to be performed tonight on the network of the data centers in Gravelines and Roubaix. The maintenance will cause about 8 minutes of unavailability of the Odoo environments.


More information:
We are going to perform an Emergency preventive maintenance on some of our Network top of rack switches. This maintenance is due to a bug that occurred on the latest version deployed on these switches. Indeed, a combination of 2 software related issues caused MAC moves on the vRack.
• Issue 1: After a VPC peer reload, entries are not correctly programmed on in the hardware and native packets are allowed on the Peer-links
• Issue 2: Native packet sent to Peer-Link should be dropped by the VPC peer by the secondary preventive mechanism. However, that mechanism is not active due to this and BUM traffic is sent back to the Fabric causing the MAC moves witnessed during the incident.

These 2 issues taken independently are harmless. However, when they happen simultaneously, it causes the BUM packet reflection which in turn causes the MAC moves.

In order to be protected against the mac move bug on those switches, we need to apply an emergency change that will impact your datacenter.

This fix will generate 8 min unavailability for each server on both public and private interface. Depending on the size and location of your services you may be impacted more than once.

This maintenance will happen in multiple waves:
[GRAVELINES] - March 9th from 2:00 am CET until 6:00 am CET
[ROUBAIX] - March 10th from 2:00 am CET until 6:00am CET
